- Make sure you keep driving.
- Slow down to the minimum allowed on the road you are.
- Press and hold both the scroll wheels on the steering wheel.
- Release the wheels when the touchscreen goes off.
- Keep driving.
That’s it. After completing the process, the score of that ride won’t register and it will be like that ride never happened.
Resetting the Tesla Safety Score Anytime
Well, if you want to make the safety score start fresh from 100% again, here is what you need to do-
Opt-Out of FSD beta
Go to Controls > Autopilot and opt out of the Full Self Driving Beta program.
Drive the Car
After you do that, make sure you drive the car a couple of miles safely.
Wait 24 Hours
Now, you will need to let the car sleep or anything for a day. It doesn’t have to be 24 hours. Sometimes, it works if you do it after an hour, and sometimes takes up to 24 hours.
Re-Enable FSD Beta
After you wait for a day, re-enable the FSD beta by going to Controls > Autopilot and driving a couple of miles.
After that, check the safety score, it should reset.
While this worked almost all the time in the past, I am hearing this method is not working more often than not now. Still, it’s worth giving it a shot to see if it works for you.
